  1. Hi Miss Eagle
    .
To be honest, I had never heard of MJD (Groote Eyland Syndrome) before this article.
As for Jenny Macklin, she d=just doesn't get it.
    .
Instead of ordering a senior bureaucrat to go through the Program with a fine tooth comb, it needs a total re-think, form the top of Government, down. That's not likely to happen.
    .
And she's still "blaming the victims":
"Mr Yunupingu's changed position is disappointing at a time when alcohol abuse, violence, crime and poor education and health outcomes are hurting NT indigenous communities." JM - The Australian.
    .
    Thanks for this post.

  2. Thank you for that supportive comment, Denis. I think the failure of policy has to be admitted publicly and people have to go back to the drawing board. Sure time has been wasted but over 2 years have already gone by. I think Henderson - as he walks his personal and political tightrope as Chief Minister - has to reflect the true story back to Macklin: if he is capable of doing so.

This blog does not take Anonymous comments. Experience shows that comments cluttered with "Anonymous" are boring and people don't know whether "Anonymous" is one person or many. This is not a decision about freedom of speech. It is a decision about boring or unwillingness to be known by even a pseudonym.
