Black Saturday Bushfires: Marysville from the ashes

February 7, 2009 is now referred to as Black Saturday because of the bushfires which gripped Victoria. They were Australia's worst natural disaster. The Age has to-day issued on line a collection of four videos updating the re-emergence of Marysville. To see them, please go here. For photos, please go here.

  1. Great post to remind people about the importance of the fires.
The ABC has a blog by Kinglake resident Kate Jones which I have found to be really interesting - lots of ongoing issues I had no idea about. You can find the blog at: http://www.abc.net.au/vicbushfires

  2. Thank you for this information. I have made a click through to Kate's blog which you will find near the top of the side bar of this blog - so I hope this gives the blog a bit more prominence so even more people can go there.

This blog does not take Anonymous comments. Experience shows that comments cluttered with "Anonymous" are boring and people don't know whether "Anonymous" is one person or many. This is not a decision about freedom of speech. It is a decision about boring or unwillingness to be known by even a pseudonym.
