I just left the UN climate negotiations in Cancun where our international team of Friends of the Earth climate campaigners witnessed the alarming business-as-usual mentality of the world's governments. Now more than ever, the earth and humanity needs us. Now more than ever, Friends of the Earth International needs you.
With 76 member groups working in unison across languages, continents and cultures, Friends of the Earth International is the world's leading grassroots environmental network. With your help, we will continue to pressure policy makers and mobilize people around the world for a fair and just climate agreement.
Friends of the Earth International stands solid – and stands apart – on a foundation of global grassroots activism and a bold, principled vision of a peaceful and sustainable world in which equity and human rights are realized.
We recognize that tackling today's pressing environmental and social problems requires no less than the democratic participation of all people, and the fundamental transformation of the current economic model.
In 2011, Friends of the Earth International will celebrate its 40th anniversary and its many achievements. In honor of our 40th year, we'll send a 2011 Friends of the Earth International calendar for contributions of €40 and above.* The theme of the 2011 calendar – acting in solidarity and building movements for change – has been the key to FoEI's success. You are part of that success.
With your help, FoEI will continuously grow until we build an environmental justice movement that reaches every corner of the globe. Please join us by giving your gift today.

This blog does not take Anonymous comments. Experience shows that comments cluttered with "Anonymous" are boring and people don't know whether "Anonymous" is one person or many. This is not a decision about freedom of speech. It is a decision about boring or unwillingness to be known by even a pseudonym.
