the first time Women Marched for their Rights

There will be a short address
about the early pioneering women of Gippsland,
without them none of the places settled in Australia would have happened.

We will go across the road and
honour these early Women at the Pioneer Memorial Garden
at the Foster Museum .
Green, White and Purple are now commonly known as ‘Women’s Colours’
and were first used in England in 1908
at a huge Rally demanding Votes for Women.
White is for purity,
Purple for dignity, self-reverence and self-respect and
Green for hope.
PLEASE WEAR THESE COLOURS ON THE 8 MARCH
