Greedy Aquasure uses its French connection, Suez, to have its govt pressure Victoria's govt - Mais non

ACTION – NO BAILOUT FOR WATER MULTI-NATIONALS

The French government, via its ambassador, is pressuring the Baillieu government to pay Aquasure millions of dollars in ‘compensation.’ AquaSure is claiming in excess of $1 billion due to ‘extraordinary climatic problems’ including ‘cyclones and typhoons, an earthquake, record rainfall and problems with wombats (!)’ The Age, 6/7)

Watershed stands firm that
AquaSure should not receive a cent of government money.
Watershed also reminds Victorians they are, in fact, owed $1.8 million a day in penalty payments as of July 1 for water not delivered as promised by June 30. Just one day's worth of penalties would pay for 25 years of monitoring of the desal plants impact on the environment but AquaSure won't even discuss it.

  1. An interesting twist. Cyclones and Typhoons in Wonthaggi?
Yes, there was an earthquake recently, but no damage was reported.
