Queensland Floods leave lives & property in ruins. Qld - like the Maroons - gets up & goes for it. #qldfloods #recovery

I want us to remember who we are.

We are Queenslanders.

We're the people that they breed tough,

north of the border.

We're the ones that they knock down,

and we get up again.

I don't mean to diminish the seriousness with which you are taking this, but ordinary citizens expressing real emotion - I have no quibble with.
.
But it is no wonder Queensland is in flood, with the level of emotion flowing around on our TV screens - mostly from "celebrity" presenters practicing for their Walkley acceptance speeches.
