Ideas and information would be shared via 21st century technology. It could be linked to simultaneously held conferences all over the world, as well as by attendees to their circles, through the internet, via youtube, social networking, smart phones, tablets, and other means. It would bring together and inspire the next generation of women leaders. It would be a major step toward a critical mass learning about the need for the empowerment and equality for women. This petition is a grassroots effort to influence the United Nations and its member states to support a UN 5th World Conference on Women. If a resolution is passed by the 66th General Assembly (2011-2012) it could be held in 2015.
